Simulator of the Week! XP11.35b
#1
So... decided to give it a new try ( at least for the week... )

Installed the latest release of XP11, pushed the European Enhnacement scenery and objects libraries from SimHeaven and the mandatory OpenSceneryX, the few add-on aircraft I have for it - including that Tooliss A319 - and FSGRW ( still my preferred weather injcetor for XP11, and even P3D for it's simplicity and good performance ), and am trying to test the Simplugins driver that would allow me to use my ELITE HW TQ and GNS 530 modules with XP11, although I am having some problems with this last one :-/

Let's see how it goes, and how long XP11 lasts in my Desktop :-) but, so far so VERY good!

I love XP11, sometimes :-)))

You are incredible, you change your mood on sims very fast. Two weeks ago you did not want to hear about anything else than ELITE and PSX!

My interest and focus for one sim or another lasts for months or weeks.

But you beat me by far! You can be in love for sim X and the day after fall in love with sim Y!!!

Yep, but there's a core sim, always - since 2004 - ELITE.

Was offered v7 by ELITE International in 2004 if I'm not wrong, then later migrated to v8, now v9 XTS and testing the P3D bridge, and it's still my Go-To IFR flightsim because of it's simplicity and HW requisites - not having to keep upgrading my rig on each new release... It also let's me concentrate more in the procedures than in the scenery sugar that is perfectly secondary for that purpose, but gives me the adequate visual references for the runways when in visual contact. I would like to try a 4K monitor with ELITE, but still too expensive, or, even better, multiple monitors like on this guy's youtube channel:

Aerowinx PSX is Magical too, but not on the same level for me... because the lack of visual references is a big drawback for me.

Then the others orbitate - only exception in all this years was MS FLIGHT, but unfortunately it was quicker than me :-)

I've never heard about ProSim-AR. It's amazing they have Pro and Entertainment. But  too bad there is no screenshots of the sim itself.

Tony, there are some good videos of various versions, from full blown cockpits to simpler home setups, and even people using 2d panels with P3D, like these:

and even a total mix with ProSim + P3D + XP

Oh I see, they sell a sim with instruments panels and you can use P3D for visuals. Kind of PSX flavour. The PFD look nice and fluid. However I am a fan of standalone programs. That said, they could illustrate a bit more their products with screenshots.
